1979. Began as
an all volunteer clinic, the first of its kind, to fill a need for
lesbians who were not accessing the health care system due to possible
homophobia, ignorance, discrimination or intimidation. |

are low-income, people of color, lesbian or bisexual, HIV-positive,
and/or older. |

Primary care, gynecology, comprehensive primary care and gender reassignment support for transgender people, primary care for HIV+ women, breast cancer early detection programs, mental health services, health care for the homeless, transgender healthcare advocacy and community organizing, smoking cessation support, rapid HIV testing, substance abuse education and screening. |
