Today is National Health Center Call-in Day! Our message is clear: it’s time to let Congress know to stand up for community health centers and provide them with the mandatory long term funding they deserve now.
Last fall, Congress committed to extending health center funding through May 22nd. Unfortunately, health centers cannot afford to wait for another short-term fix. According to HRSA, every health center in America will lose more than 70% of its federal grant funding without Congress' help. In California, that would be devastating for the 1,370 community health centers that care for 7.2 million patients, or 1 in 6 Californians. Every single moment that Congress waits to act puts health centers and patients at risk.
Call your representative right now and urge them to stand up for community health centers. We need their support to secure long-term funding.
