Additional CalFresh Benefits Added for COVID-19 Emergency

Good News: Additional CalFresh Benefits Autimatically Added for Existing CalFresh Recipients for COVID-19 Emergency.

CalFresh will automatically add emergency benefits to Electronic Benefits Transfer cards (EBT) cards for March recipients on April 11th, and for April recipients on May 10th. Current recipients do not need do anything to get these benefits.

The amount of the benefits will vary, but they will bring each recipient up to the maximum benefit allowed. Unfortunately, people already receiving the maximum amount will not receive additional funds.

Newly eligible CalFresh applicants are encouraged to submit their applications quickly so they will also receive the additional emergency funds for April.
