National Health Corps program receives national spotlight for COVID-19 response and equity work
SFCCC applauds the National Health Corps for receiving national attention and active support from Delaware Senator Chris Coons at NHC’s newest operating site, NHC Delaware. At NHC Delaware, NHC AmeriCorps members will be specifically supporting the COVID-19 vaccination process, and their members will be joining the members at NHC Chicago, Florida, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and San Francisco in addressing other challenges to health access and equity.
The National Health Corps AmeriCorps members have been instrumental in supporting San Francisco’s community clinics and the Department of Public Health in their COVID-19 Response, and we look forward to seeing how the program continues to support COVID-19 response, vaccination, and racial equity efforts throughout the nation.
