SFCCC AWARDED COMMUNITY PROJECT FUNDING TO SUPPORT MEMBER CLINICS

San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium (SFCCC) was recently awarded $1,000,000 in Community Project Funding to support adding more service practices such as telehealth, increasing the number of dental operatory treatment spaces within San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium’s network, expanding behavioral health services, purchase sanitation equipment to expedite the cleaning of exam rooms in between patient visits, and building improvements to ensure clinics are welcoming to all patients, including those with mobility needs.  San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium, as a health care provider organization, receives federal funding to provide care to homeless people in San Francisco and is also a grantee to care for HIV-positive patients through the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part C.

“SFCCC is pleased to receive this funding award and put it towards improving access to critical health care services for underserved San Franciscans,” said Johanna Liu, President & CEO of the San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium. “We are grateful for the support that Speaker Pelosi provided to help San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium receive this funding award” added Liu.

Instead of each of the clinics in San Francisco coming individually to Congress for funding, SFCCC asked clinics for their most critical needs.  Eight partner clinics responded with projects to improve access to high quality health care for vulnerable San Francisco populations.  The eight clinics include: San Francisco Community Health Center, HealthRIGHT 360, Mission Neighborhood Health Center, BAART Community HealthCare, Curry Senior Center, North East Medical Services, South of Market Health Center, and Saint Anthony Medical Clinic.

At San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium, we see firsthand the critical role that community health centers play in ensuring that underserved have access to quality health care. We believe this Community Project Funding award will have significant impact on SFCCC addressing this need.
